Political Science Dept holds Interaction Program

Salesian College Sonada, Department of Political Science held an interaction program with their counterparts from Siliguri campus on Saturday 22nd September 2018.

Some 70 students from Siliguri campus arrived in 3 buses along with HoD Dr Biju Mathew, and faculty members Chimey Bhutia and Vikash Sharma.

The program started off in the auditorium at 10.45 am.

Two 2nd year students Passi Sherpa and Aman Rai as well as Vice-principal Fr C.M. Paul welcomed the visitors.

Siliguri Campus HoD Dr Biju Mathew also addressed the gathering.

“It is a wonderful experience. We always wanted to come here,” says Dr Biju praising the gracious hospitality and friendly welcome given by Sonada students.

“They planned everything on the spot,” says Sonada HoD Dr Romana Lepcha complimenting Siliguri campus students’ talent.

Siliguri students presented a dance, a beat box item and 3 solo songs.

Sonada students presented a group song entitled: We are the World, as well as 2 group dances and 2 solo songs.

“Though initially we were a bit nervous, it was a very good experience, and it was fun kind of day,” says Aman Rai 2nd year student from Sonada.

“It [the campus] just looks like heaven,” some students from Siliguri were heard to exclaim as they enjoyed the breath taking view of the hills, the greenery and the cool weather of the hills. END
