Salesian College Community celebrated Don Bosco’s 204th birthday on 16th of August with a short film on his life and and a playlet directed by English Department under the direction of Assistant Professor Vasudeva.
Principal Dr George Thadathil honoured Don Bosco by placing a traditional scarf (khada) on the well decorated statue of the saint.
The half-hour long playlet was an adaptation of “12 Angry Men” where a seven member jury gave a verdict on whether or not a wolf was guilty of destroying the houses of two pigs.
“The play was an outstanding success given the time frame for practice and the enthusiastic support shown by the audience,” said the director.
John Bosco popularly known as Don Bosco was born in a rural hamlet of Northern Italy in Piedmont called Becchi on 16 August 1815.
