Dilaram students visit Radio Salesian & Television studios

Responding to the invitation send out to 45 Secondary Schools in Darjeeling, Kurseong and Mirik, students and faculty members of Sai Sundaram English School visited Salesian College Sonada, 12 March 2019.
Students included 12 boys and 5 girls studying in class XII from Arts and Commerce streams. They were accompanied by Principal and teacher.
On arrival, they were briefed about Radio Salesian.
They were divided into two groups to go on air, half hour with RJ Sagar and another half hour with RJ Samir at a special LIVE show organised for them from 11 am and 12 noon.
After a quick refreshment of tea and biscuits, they had a brief inter-action with HoDs of Sociology and Mass Comm and a tour of the college facilities on their way to Television studio on 6th Level.
The visiting students could not be part of a television program as the television crew had an outdoor shoot in Darjeeling, on a voter education video project to teach people on the importance of voting in a democratic process in view of the up coming April-May 2019 general elections.
Sai Sundaram School is one of the few Central Board of Secondary education (C.B.S.E) affiliated schools in the hills of Darjeeling. It is a co-educational institute founded in 1983. Sai Sundaran School received recognition from CBSE up to the Secondary level in 1999 and received CBSE recognition for its Higher Secondary level in 2012.
