Don Bosco University MSW students visit Radio Salesian

A group of 28 Master of Social Work (MSW) students from Assam Don Bosco University Guwahati paid a visit to Salesian College Sonada on Monday 17 December 2018.
They were accompanied by faculty member Dr Jacob Isalray.
The students specializing in Community Development were on a 10 day field trip to meet with NGOs working in various fields of community development in Kathmandu, Gorakpur, Gangtok and Darjeeling.
During their visit to Salesian College, the visitors had opportunity to interact with Principal Dr George Thadathil and also learn about the working of the first college community radio in Bengal and entire northeast India – Radio Salesian 90.8 FM – Voice of the Hills established in 2016. In fact it is the only Nepali language broadcasting station in India.
The visitors also had a look at the new set up of Salesian television studio.
