A National Seminar on Corporate Social Responsibility and Higher Education in India was held at Salesian College Sonada organised by B.Com and Education Departments of both campuses, 20 March 2019.
The seminar was co-hosted by the departments of Commerce (2014) and Education (2006) to carry forward their commitment to the empowerment of young men and women of the region in collaboration with local scholars and enlightened members of Darjeeling Civil Society,” says Convener of the Seminar and HoD B.Com Mr Uday Mall.
“The seminar brought together research scholars, academicians, teachers, educational administrators and interested under-graduate and post graduate students,” says Co-convener and Campus Coordinator from Education department Miss Shradha Pradhan.
There were 29 participants from both campuses and 14 presentations in two parallel sessions including a session by a scholar from Sri Lanka.
Key note speakers included Dr Pius Thomas from Philosophy Dept of Assam Central University Silchar and Dr TJMS Raju, Department of Education, Sikkim Central University Gangtok.
