Alumnus leaves for Paraguay Mission

Sonada —  Newly ordianed Salesian priest Fr Anguo Francis ordianed on Saturday 18 January 2020 at Holy Cross Church, Dimapur, Nagaland visited alma mater (batch of 2014) Salesian College Soanda, 20 January.
Fr. Francis belongs to Zeliangrong people, one of the major indigenous Naga communities living in the tri-junction of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland in India.
On arrival with his friend another alumnus (batch of 2012) Fr. Frank Kashung, Vice-Principal of Don Bosco School Dimapur, both went to visit youth centre Gaon Busty near Margret’s Hope Tea Estate which Brother Francis was frequenting each Sunday while at Salesian College.
After an evening celebration of the Holy Eucharist in the college chapel with the college community, the vistors were feliciated.
Fr. Francis spent 6 years in southern Italy where he did two years of practical training at Don Bosco Palermo and four years of Theology studies in Sicilly.
In March 2020, Fr Francis will leave for Paraguay in South America and stay at capital Asuncion to study Spanish language.
